Do printers have to replace the offset printing blanket due to indentations or low spots?
The answer is NO!
Printers often encounter problems such as low spots and rubber surface smashes on the blanket during printing. Previously, printers had to stop the printing job half way through and change the printing blanket. This would delay the job in hand and add to costs.
Present day, there are products available to counteract these issues, such as the SC117 CREST® Blanket Spot Repairer. After the product is applied to the surface of the damaged areas, this highly effective surface repairing solution will raise the low spots to its original level. This means that the press run can be completed without the hassle and the cost of the replacing the damaged blanket.
Directions for usage:
Using the applicator enclosed in the container top, apply product onto the damaged spot found on the blanket. Within 3 to 5 seconds, the surface of the rubber will return to its original height. Wash off with normal blanket wash and recommence printing activities.

However, if the printer prefers a product that is more eco-friendly, then we can offer the SC130® Crest Blanket Fixer [a product patented in Japan], which will perform similarly to SC117 CREST® Blanket Spot Repairer but with the added advantage of SC130® Crest Blanket Fixer being free of hazardous solvents and it is non flammable.
Directions for Usage:
